Interim Pastor Mark B. Stevenson preached a series of expository messages on the First Epistle of John. Bro Mark entitiled this series "Fellowship With Christ" and it provides a very practical exposition of what the beloved apostle John wrote to the first century Christians. While this epistle may be little in size, it has much to offer believers in our walk with our Living Lord.

Although Bro Ryle wrote this approximately 130 years ago, his observations are as up-to-date as today's newspaper. A thorough look as to how believers are to live out our lives for Christ. Stern Warning Against False Teachers

Larry McCord brought a message Sunday evening Nov 15th entitled "A Warning About False Prophets and Teachers" from 2 Peter 2.This was a heavy message with much application to our present culture. Throughout it all the importance of a personal knowledge of the Word of God was stressed as the only proper protection against false doctrine. Peter shows in this chapter that the false teachers will be judged harshly, using such illustrations as Sodom and Noah's flood. Peter then continues by giving characteristics of the false teachers, portraying them as both liars and deniers. Peter closes the chapter by the warning that some of these false teachers will come from amongst those who profess salvation yet have never truly known Christ. A stern warning which should be heard and heeded by all.

Detailed Look at the Lamb of God
in the Lord's Passover

Allen Lefkovitz led the prayer meeting Wednesday April 8th and presented a lesson on the Passover with special emphasis upon the Passover Lamb. Bro Lefkovitz has been providentially prepared to present such a lesson. His uncle was a Rabbi and his father was a Levite raised in an Orthodox Jewish home. Bro Allen's father became a believer as a result of the witness of Isaiah 53 from his mother-in-law (Bro Allen's grandmother). Bro Allen's father spent the remainder of his life teaching Christians about the Jewish roots of the New Testament. This included teaching about the Passover to countless churches as Bro Allen was growing up. Bro Allen continues to observe the Passover annually in his own home with a Christian emphasis.

The message is entitled "The Lord's Passover" and is very instructive in how it connects the historical Exodus from Egypt and the institution of the Passover with our Lord Jesus Christ, our Lamb of God.
